Tuesday greeted my client and I with warm temps, high humidity, bright sky's and very little wind to speak of. Forgot to mention more mayfly's. No walleye fishing was done on this trip as big panfish was our goal. Spending the day working various shorelines containing downed trees, log jams, and emerging coontail, we boated countless numbers of panfish all day long by using slip bobbers with small jig and piece of crawler. At days end, we had a total of 15 large bluegills and jumbo perch in the well along with 1 stray walleye that ventured into the hot shallow waters. With the temps hitting 94 degrees yesterday, the water temps jumped up to 82.8 degrees, a far cry from the 60 degree temps just 2 weeks ago.
