Getting reports of some nice walleyes up feeding with the smallmouth bass and hitting shad raps on shorelines. It's not usually the best way to catch them up here, but can be a lot of fun when you're mixing in some smallie action.
Perch and walleye colour cranks have been effective patterns as well as the crayfish baits in natural orange/brown colour.
Often times, the walleyes that are caught this way are a good average size as well.
Give it a try.
