The King Salmon /Steelhead fishing is getting real good. Kings in the 17-20plus pound catagory are being caught with regularity. Some limit catches being caught.
Kings are being caught along the Bank Reef in 100-150ft. of water 60-110ft. down on Howie Flys and dodgers. Speed around 2.5 GPS.
Steelhead out 8-14miles in 350-450ft. of water. Fishing boards, leadcores and inline weightsetc. running at 2.8 GPS. Variety of spoons and Hoie Flys working.
Walleyes are still hitting in the Bay and reefs with great success. Some fish breaking the 10lb. 30 inch plus mark. Crank baits and crawler harnesses working well. Harnesses at 1.2-1.5 GPS and cranks at 2 GPS.
Bass have put the feed bag on again and are pretty active, Throwing cranks and plastics working well. There are certain areas that the Large Mouth are spawning in right now please don't take and eat these fish. I for one would really like to see a bigger population of Large Mouth in our area.
good luck and good fishing
Capt. Fritz
PS. here are some of the Kings caught in the last couple of days by the Vande Vrede crew and Kevin's family the rest are in the cooler.
