The last two days have seen a big change in weather along with the walleye bite.
With continuing hot temps on Friday along with bright sky's and flat water, my client and I worked several area's, depths, and structures on our morning trip and never had a bite until we went really shallow. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with 1/2 crawler, we landed 1 big smallie along with 6 eyes on top of an underwater point in 4 feet of water containing coontail and submerged stumps. Back out on Saturday with the same client and dealing with the cold front moving thru, we tried about everything and everywhere and found 1 decent eye and several small pike, only had a couple of hours in before a storm moved in and the thunder made for a shot morning trip. Have to remember, where there's thunder, there's lightning.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
