My brother got his boat out of storage and took our dad and his two daughters out for a "shake down" run Sunday morning. When everything checked out, they threw a couple lines behind the boat and trolled spinnerbaits in the harbor. They ended up catching 4 pike in pretty short order. The biggest one was 28 inches.

I caught up with them later in the afternoon, and the three of us headed back down to the harbor to work the weed beds a little more seriously. The west wind was perfect for drifting down the harbor, and along the weed bed near the Municipal dock. We landed 8 or 9 pike, and missed several more, on spinnerbaits (all colors,) and a Mepp's comet minnow. The biggest pike of this trip was only about 27 inches. The bonus fish of the trip was the 21 1/2 inch smallmouth bass Trevor caught on a white spinnerbait near the Municipal Dock - his personal best! You'll have to wait for him to email me a copy of the picture before you can see what she looked like.

All in all, not too bad for a windy, gloomy day on the bay:D
