I just returned from the NW Angle of Lake of the Woods. I was a guide for Operation Muskie II. Operation Muskie was started last year by Brett Wold, Dick Pearson, and Doug Johnson. The format is 20 veterans of recent combat and 10 guides. I was fortunate to be a participant as a guide. We had a fantastic time and it is something that I will never forget. The Vets are true heros and we owe our way of life to them and all who sacrifice for their country.
Bay Store Camp on Oak Island was the base camp. Frank and Laura Walsh put on a great event. The food was fantastic and the camp fire in the evening was the high light of the day. I met some guys who are true warriors and sat in awe of their positive attitude listening to their conversations. I met some folks I will never forget.
Mother Nature was not kind and the weather in a work sucked for the most part but we fished hard and put a few fish in the boat.
