Today was a Special Day for a young man from Wilton, Iowa.
Fourteen year old Koby Lund and his family showed some grit today as they braved the 50 degree temperatures, 20 mph winds and an irritating drizzle. Hardly the conditions they had hoped for, but it was their last day of fishing on this vacation so they stuck it out.
Koby Lund hooked up with a 41 1/2 inch Northern Pike at 10:35 AM today and endured a 20 minute battle. Koby has shown to have good fishing skills combined with determination and patience. His parents have put quality equipment in his hands. As a Resort Owner....it's great to see.
The family decided to have the giant fish mounted. A beautful piece that will last longer than a lifetime.
Enjoy the photo of Koby and his Monster Pike by clicking on our "Photo Gallery." Then click on "2009 Wall of Fame." Finally click on page four....Koby's photo is at the bottom. Double click on his picture to enlarge.
Keep your bait or lure in the water. You never know what might happen.
Way to go Koby!
