I fished from 8 to 11 am. Friday, keeping 11 perch (4 big ones) and a 16" walleye. I also released several bass and a pike about 24". Slip float rigs and a split shot and plain hook rig laying on bottom at the deep weed edge (10 to 14 feet) worked best. Crawler pieces were the best bait. I also watched a flock of eight loons flying past and swimming in the area. I don't think I've ever seen that many together previously.
