With the recent cold front conditions, fish habits have not changed as much as you might think. On Lake Mendota, Smallmouth activity continues to be far on the bars in 18-25' of water, & some Perch activity has been reported on the weedlines and in the weeds in the 9-12' range. Try using small jigs tipped with spikes, waxworms or helgramites. Bluegill activity on Mendota continues to be spotty. Lake Monona Bluegill action continues to be excellent, with the fish being most active on the weedlines and out to about 25' of water. Musky action has been spotty, with some activity reported trolling crank baits in deeper water. Lake Waubesa Bluegills have moved out to 14-19' of water in areas like Hog Island, Babcock Park, & Christies. There's been reports of Perch and Bluegills on Lake Kegonsa, with no specific locations or depth.
