Well just as predicted as the weather has improved so has the fishing. Walleye fishing is falling into its summer like patter with fish still being caught in the weeds and edges early and late in the day, but more of a switch to leeches with minnows still being effective as the bait fish (perch minnows/fry) are all over the place. Next we have fish out on the rocks and these seem to be more of a mid morning to early evening type fishing. Still forget about the middle of the day as far as walleye fishing. I am starting to see some crappies appear again in some more numbers as they have come off their funk as a good majority of them seem to have absorbed their spawn again this year, with means we will be missing 2 year classes in a row of crappies on the chains. Any way these fish are being taken on small minnows and bobbers and is great action when the walleye fishing slows.
