Fishing for walleyes this summer has been consistently good. The best patterns have been deep diving cranks in the evening and fishing deep rocks and deep weeds in the late afternoon and evening. Jigging is working but slip bobbers have been best. Good depths have been 12-30 feet deep. The weed growth is different on many lakes than in the past. Some lakes are clearer than normal and the weeds are deeper than before and some clearer lakes the growth seems much less than in past years. Try to find the deepest weeds on the lake you are fishing and start there.
