Wed. night 5 for 6 fishing from 5:30 until dark. Calm waters and lots of bait fish especially the last hr. of daylight. 100 to 115 ft. of water and running riggers at 70 and 90 with stackers 20 ft. up from ball. The five fish were all between 12 and 16 lbs. Lost one when he crossed our copper line. OUCH! Bloody Nose, Crab Face and Flounder Pounder. Took two fish on SW and one on full leadcore.
Friday night, how things change! Started at 6:30 in same area and marked zero bait fish but managed one three lb. and a nice 17 lb. fish by 7:30. Figured things would pick up, but the only thing picking up was the wind and waves. No other releases. Pulled lines at sunset and took it slow going in. Of course the blank screen we had watched for three hours started to show quite a few fish and bait fish about a mile from where we pulled our lines.

Friday morning we could not keep fish hooked up, went 5/11 with fish between 15-8#. Best rig was do de k on a rigger 67 down over 120-130fow. Braid dipsy also took a couple fish with a white glo echip and aqua fly.
Went out for the evening and did nothing until it got "quite breezy", 2/2 about 10#, one on a wire dipsy with a green echip flasher/LBB fly the other on 300 copper with a silver flounder. I think the last hour before dark would have been good but we pulled em and went in early, too bumpy.

3/6 today, all around 10#. Started out real good, going 3/4 on our first pass, 2 on do de k on a rigger 70 down and another on a wire dipsy 150 back with a big glow froggy spindoctor and glow green fly. Wind went from a stiff breeze to blowin pretty good and we sought shelter closer to shore. We then struggled for 3+ more hours getting only 2 other hits that did not hook up, one on the do de k and the other on a braid slide diver.
This weather really blows, pun intended. Have one more day off before going back to work and there's a small craft warning posted. Dandy!

3/5 last night fishing 60-80fow, fish hitting little of everything, NBK on 7 colors, 2 hits on a big weenie meat rig with herring strip on a braid dipsy 100 back, half a meal on a rigger also. Bummer because we marked lots of bait and hooks around the bait. Most action was 6-8pm, before "prime time", then nothing at the witching hour.
Pretty poor long weekend between wind, not getting on a hot bite and only landing half of our hits. Oh well, I'll still be back for more next chance I get :)

0/0 out at Whaleback last night. Presentations declined included riggers w/spoons, dipseys on powerpro 95 and 110 back (flasher/fly) and full and half cores out the sides of the boat...

Fished Sunday AM with a crew from Daggett. The bite was really tough to say the least. We struggled all morning and lost a couple of dandy fish. Found a nice patch of fish late in the morning and wound off topping our cooler with three nice ones right about noon. Finished the morning 8 for 13 with one being a shaker. Riggers were decent, 300' copper was OK, fullcore took 1, dipsies really sucked with only one bite all morning.
