Well, what can ya say???? The fishing was good but not consistant. One day they are in 15 feet of water next day they were in 25 feet. Cold front would move through, temps would drop. Hard to keep up for a guy me. Only doing it once a year, for a week. Musky hunters were doing quite well! 47", 48", 49", 51" were boated by them and with many follows. Crappies nowhere to be seen. But the ever present perch are still there. Minnows were the bait of choice, some folks were using crawlers and having good success. I caught a 25"-26" Northern on a jig and minnow with no leader, felt like a brick hit it. Weather was unseasonally cool but it was better than baking out on the boat. Bugs seemed to be down this year, too!!!
