As many of you know I have been having a fuel delivery/air in line problem with my engine for a long time. The problem always seem to go away just as I am going to take the boat in and have it looked at. The last couple of busy weeks I have had the problem it got real bad and enough was enough.
Engine was due for an oil change and I didn't have a swamped week so I pulled it out of my slip brought it home and starting the investigation. What a head ace...after several hours of testing different areas of the fuel lines I found that while the engine was running if I reached way up under the rear casting deck and messed with the fuel line it kinda made a funny sound. Turned the engine off and messed with it a little more and it broke off in my hand. The culprit this whole time has been a corroded aluminum fuel splice...
Anyway, will be back to guiding soon and things should be going smoother.
