Hello Everyone,
After fishing the WI River and Lake Mohawksin the past few days, we found that fishing is tough!! Kings dam has been shut down for nearly two weeks now and that has caused the fish to scatter away from our usual spots. We found that the bluegills and crappies are holding tight in the deeper wood structure. No Snag jigs will work best with a leech or baby crawler to reduce those pesky snags. Getting right on top of the wood will produce the most fish. Walleye we found near the trestles in deeper holes and wood structure as well. Leeches seemed to be their choice meal this time of the year. We also had a couple Muskies on in these same areas, but with 8lb test we never successfully landed one. They too are cruising the drop offs and wood structures feeding on the smaller fish that are holding tight there. If you guys have anything to add, we'd love some updates on how you've been doing and where the fish are!!! Thanks,
