Doing just one half day trip instead of two on Wednesday, my clients, the same group from Tuesday and I started out vertical jigging deeper water, 13 to 16 feet over scattered stumps and found 1 crappie, 1 jumbo perch and 1 decent eye, and they were taken on weedless jigs tipped with half crawlers. Moving on, we worked various areas with the trolling motor due to the fact there was no breeze at all out there, a real bear with the sun beating down on you. We managed to find 3 more eyes along with 1 nice smallie in 9 feet of water around some visible stumps before our trip ended, once again, on crawlers.
On Thursday, my client decided on panfish over walleye fishing, so we hit the cribs for a couple of hours and had 18 nice gills along with 2 big jumbo perch.
Todays trip called off due to bad weather, hopefully back out on Saturday, will keep you posted.
