Saturday's half day trip went as planned despite strong NW winds and light rain showers, and the fish were on a decent bite. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a half crawler, my 2 clients and I started out working in 7 feet of water over hard bottom with submerged stumps and found 1 throwback smallie along with a couple of keeper eyes. Moving on, we anchored in 6 feet of water and worked a sharp breakline that topped off at 2 feet and dropped to 6, here, we boated 3 real nice eyes along with 4 smallies, the largest being 16 inches.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
