Sunday greeted my 2 clients and I with cool temps, bright sky's, and a light NW breeze, not what we wanted for good walleye fishing. We worked all day on various humps, breaklines, hard bottom/soft bottom and came up with only 2 keeper eyes along with 2 nice smallies, we also boated a few pike and 1 small muskie, all on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a half crawler.
On Monday, cool temps and bright sky's once again, but the wind direction was from the SW. Doing just a half day trip, my client who has been with me for several years now, decided once again to fish the cribs in search of big gills, and big gills we got. Using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler, we boated over 30 and kept our limit of 20 in just under 2 hours of fishing.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
