Just a couple quick notes before the holiday weekend. This past week the walleye fishing has been good to very good. I have been getting most of my fish on jigs and crawler/leech combos. Crawlers are starting to trump the leeches though. It will not be to long until the minnows will come back into play. Most of my fish are coming in the weeds, 8-11 feet of water.
Muskies have been good. We have had to work for them a bit but when you find them they are active. The big 10's are what are showing the most fish right now. If I was going after muskies this weekend I would definitly have a double 10 bucktail going. I am moving them fast to the point that they are bulging a small wake.
