The past few fishing trips have been very productive, especially for big panfish. On both Tuesday and Thursday, my clients and I spent the majority of our time working various cribs that are scattered out on the flowage and had very good luck with big gills and some very hefty jumbo perch. Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler done the job on these critters, the gills were relating within a foot of the bottom while the perch were somewhat suspended inside the cribs. Yesterday's trip was for both walleye and panfish, and the action once again remained very good. After trying a couple of spots without a bite, my 2 clients and I anchored just off a breakline that dropped from 3 to 10 feet. Here, we caught our limits of decent walleye, all on fatheads, in just over a half hour of fishing. We then moved on to work various cribs and we boated numerous gills, we had our 30 and were headed home by noon.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
