Sept 8 fishing report

The morning we headed out around 6:00 am and headed to the rocks by the lake. We anchored for about 20 min and nothing. So we headed to the top of the rocks and started to drift down the river. 1/2 way down the rocks we started picking up some nice fish. The white bass are back. The fish are nice size and it is fun to catch them. I was using a big dude and Dave his wife uses 1/8 oz jigs with a minnow. The pink jig tipped with a minnow out producted both Dave and I baits. We ended up with 11 in buy 8:30 then we looked for some crappie. Tomorrow I am going to head out for the crappie to see if we can find some nicer ones. Today in town we only caught small ones.
