Summer like weather continued this past week with both Kakagi (Crow) Lake and Lake of the Woods frequently showing 70 degree water temperatures.
Walleye action from Cedartree was very good with mostly the eating sized Walleye being caught. Early this summer it was hard to find the smaller eating sized Walleye, so good to see the Walleye population looking healthy. One angler caught 7 Walleyes in a 30 minute period, the action doesn't get much faster then this past week.
Bass action of Whitefish Bay LOTW was good for both smallmouth and largemouth bass on crankbaits. Live bait rigs on Cedartree produced many nice smallmouth.
Lake Trout action on Kakagi was solid most of the week and a trolling group catching 25 this past Friday with biggest lake Trout being 12 pounds. This is some of the fastest Lake Trout action we have seen this summer and only a little more then a week left this season.
Looks like nice late summer weather headed our way for another week.
Regards,
