Hello everyone,
Water Temps, 57 to 60 degree's.
There has been great Musky action on lake Mohawksin. Several have been caught with the largest being 48". Large Musky suckers have been working great now, the bite is on! Many Musky Fisherman have also been taking a slow approach with Glidebaits. The best lure has been the HELLHOUND, but similar Jake Baits and gliders have been producing fish as well. All in all Muskys are very active now, chasing baitfish around out here like crazy. A Crappie fisherman staying in our Motel caught a 46 1/2" while reeling in his 12" Crappie. Another man Walleye fishing said a large Musky nearly jumped into his boat chasing baitfish!!!
Walleye anglers fishing the Dams are starting to catch nice fish with 2 walleyes over 28 inches registered this week. Green Jigs and Tuffies are the hot set up below the dams. The stump fields on the west side of Mohawksin has been producing legal size walleye in the morning and again in the later afternoon hours.
Anglers on Nokomis are reporting a very good bite before sunrise fishing the shallows with Thunderstiks or Rapala's.
Perch and Crappie reports are fair to good with the best reports coming from Mohawksin for Perch and Lake Alice for Crappie.
ITS TIME TO GET OUT ON THE WATER!!!
