Well, finally got a chance to get out today and give the shoulder another work out with the Flyrod. Had one follow, landed one Pike, and missed 2 other fish. All this action was the 2 hrs right around moonset. Didn't see another fish after that.
The good thing is that the more I use the Flyrod, the more I am seeing that its capable of attracting these fish during my entire season. I hear a lot about people mainly fishing deep at this time of year. But all my action was in water 5ft and less today. We'll see how things go once the temps get into the 40's. But these fish just loved that fly on the pause at the weedlines!!
I still have a lot of work to do with settin the hook on these fish but damn its such a trip to see them come flying up and crushing those flies!!
Good luck to everyone with the Fall Beasts!!
