I am looking into purchasing a new or used kicker motor. I'm looking at the Mercury Pro Kicker 9.9. Has anyone used this motor? Is it quiet? What motor would be best to use for quiet 2-6 mph trolling? Does anyone have one for sale?

Hey Jason, I saw a Brand new Yamaha 4 stroke 9.8 or 9.9 still in the crate on Craigs list on Nov. 5! I have know idea if its what your looking for but it won't hurt to look! it was $2900! Good luck!

I've got a merc 15HP 4-stroke for sale. Unfortunately it has an eighteen foot Tracker Tundra attached to it.
I'm very happy with it and would agree with Red about the noise.... good through the first 75%. As far as the pro-kicker goes, I couldn't justify the added expense for power trim and more torque. That said, if a good deal had come up, I would've pounced on it anyway!

That Yamaha kicker price is a tough one to beat even if it was a year old much less still in the crate. Wow!
