This question is for Rob or Ken or anyone else experienced in electronics use or installation. I recently purchased and Eagle dual GPS/ color locator( FishElite 642C iGPS). I want to mount the transducer off of my bow mount trolling motor but I still want to have my other Eagle color locator working off of my transducer at the transom. Currently I have to turn around to watch my locator if I am operating the boat from the bow which is a pain in the.... I have a few questions.
1. Will I have to turn off one locator to eliminate cross over interference? I can't find a compatible transducer that is operating at a frequency other than 200 kHz.
2. Any tips on mounting the transducer wire on the trolling motor? I have a Minn Kota Power Drive and I have seen them mounted with zip ties but it seems like you would have loose cables over a long portion of the shaft.
3. I know others run 2 locators. How do you eliminate interference?
Thanks in advance for any help.
