Indian Lake

Going to Indian Lake over in Schoolcraft county tomorrow. My kid has been there a few times and is catching some nice catches of perch.

Indian Lake was bad before the storm...lots of water on the ice (3-5 inches of ice). Had almost an inch of rain Friday. Now it is a real mess. On top of all that we got 5 inches on snow last night. Be prepared for some tough going.....if at all. We went out to try a put out a spearing shack and turned around. Not worth it.... We need some "really cold weather" to firm up this mess.

My wife and I did make it on Indian Lake. The going wasn't to bad. We did get into one wet spot but found out later we could have gone around it. After we got the new Clam 8600 set up on it's maiden run we got to fishing. We were only in about 4ft of water but the perch were there. We ended up with 72 perch. There were bitting on minnows, wigglers, mousies and perch eyes. We hope to head back in a couple days.

Out of all those perch you caught, how many were over 9 inches?

None were over 9". You being from Manistique should know the size perch that are in Indian lake.
