One of the guys that used to work for us (Ray) got out onto the ice a couple hours before me tonight. He ended up fishing in almost the same spot I've been the last few trips. No big deal. It gave me an excuse to go try another spot nearby that I've been meaning to fish. Well, the new spot sucked. I only marked a few fish, and most of them acted like whitefish. No bites.
We got back to shore at the same. When I asked if the fishing was as slow for him, he says he caught 6! Only 2 were keepers, but at least he had some action! Got one on a perch Rattling Flyer spoon, and the other on a Shiver Minnow in the dominator pattern.
