I was just wondering...,I know of the jig it and the Jug Bourdeau but does any body have information on tournaments in the U.P. this winter?

Walleye jamboree at dans resort,south of the soo.Last year Ludington grille had one,hadnt heard any date for 2010.

Dan's Resort is on Munuscong Bay on the St. Mary's. They have been doing two tournaments as of late. The first one is usually the weekend after the super bowl, the second one later on. Cheap to enter and fun...

I live in the Soo and Dan's Resort is located five miles east of Pickford....they usually put on two tournaments....the first is the last weekend in January and the second is the last weekend before the close of the season....entry fee is $10.00 per adult.

i head of something from a friend that there is going to be a North Town Tip-up tourny in the escanaba area? but idk how true it is i guess u can only use tip-ups. But it does sound kind of fun!

7th Annual West Shore Ice Fest on the Bay of Green Bay

Vicki and Bergie’s Shore Crest Bar will be holding an Ice Fishing Tournament on the waters of Green Bay on February 20th, 2010. Fishing will be for northern pike with a 24” minimum and winners will be paid back 100%. There will be a raffle held after the fish registration. Several prizes will be raffled including 5 guns. Most prizes were donated by area businesses and organizations. All raffle proceeds will be donated to the M & M Great Lakes Sport Fishermen’s Youth Fishing Derby and Heads Up Derby, which benefits area youth and handicap individuals. In the 6 previous years, over $25,000 dollars were donated to these events. Measuring of fish and the raffle will take place at Vicki and Bergie’s Shore Crest Bar in Marinette at 5:00 pm. There is a heated pavilion with food and beverages for viewing and enjoyment of this event. Fishing and raffle tickets can be purchased at Crivello’s Main Street Bar and Grill in Oconto, Snowsnake Sport Shop in Peshtigo, Martin Creek Sport N Feed in Menominee, MBK Sport Shop in Marinette or Vicki and Bergie’s Shore Crest Bar. 2nd annual City of Manistique Little Jiggers kids fishing derby. February 20th at Central Park on Quarry Lake. Open to all kids 16 and under. Registration starts at 9AM at the Little Bear West parking lot. Fishing starts at 11AM and ends at 2PM. Holes will be pre-drilled, and are $5 each. Limit of three per angler. Grand prize is a one night stay at the Tundra Lodge and Water Park. Proceeds go to the Central Park Project.
