For those interested in keeping track of ice formation on the Great Lakes, check out http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/region_map.html Click on the lake you want to look at. There are 2 to 3 photos taken per day. You can get a pretty good idea of where the ice is, depending on the cloud cover.
