I just spoke with a couple of the crew members on the Trader barge and tug operation which is currently being loaded with the last load of iron ore that will leave the Escanaba ore dock for about a month. The crew stated that the barge and tug will be leaving the ore dock between 6:00 and 8:00 pm tonight and will be returning Wednesday to the coal dock to the north of the ore dock. He was concerned over a couple of shantys that might be in their way. So if you have shantys in that area you will may want to move from the path of the tug. The tug will be tied up at the coal dock until the first week of March. Just a heads up!
