Is anyone fishing off of Portage point? If so How is the fishing? Depth,Tackle,Etc.

I heard the fishing is off and on. There was a 13# walleye caught saturday out there. I don`t trust the ice out there. Always seems to be some good pressure cracks to cross.

Fished the north side of portage sat. good 12 inches NORTH of portage, once you cross the crack another story... I stress north.. at portage theres only about 4 inches..........................Wouldn't fish it on a day with a north wind thats for sure. marked fewer fish but when you get one its usually a biggin... two of us Ended up with 4 nice fish..but biggest was 9lbs which wasn't enough to come close in the tourny! bunch of people we talked to had nada
