I got out early this morning because I planned to move my shack shallower to get closer to the heavy weed beds. I broke the shack free from 16' and moved to 12'. Bottom line: I marked a lot of fish, but had to work hard to get any hits. Even my finesse rigs with a trout fly tipped with one or two spikes and weighted with a split shot barely got any action. I landed 10 with only 4 keepers. The water was very murky near the weeds. Attractors like small Rat-L-Traps pulled fish in - the locator showed good activity - but they responded slow. I frequently saw larger signals on the graph and I suspect they were small pike harassing the perch.
