I took I-79 into Butler last year and then turned onto the 422 Exit, I think. Mapquest tells me to run Rt. 8 all the way down through Oil City/Slippery Rock, etc....Rt. 8 is the shortest but I-79 might be the quickest, I assume.

Which way is the fastest for me coming from Warren??

Where would you get on 79 at?

I just bing mapped it and rt 8 seems to be the best way according to that map, little over 2 hour drive. I put in you going 6n to 79 (guess, like i asked dont know where you get on 79 at) it is longer by 20+ miles. I do not know the condition of 8 but 6n in crawford and 79 in crawford are pretty decent condition.

I pick up 79 at the 79/80 interchange just West of Barkeyville. Then 8 parallels 79 all the way down. 8 is more direct but 79 is a faster road, of course.

I would probably stick with 79 myself. You'll get off at the Butler/New Castle exit.

62 South into Tionesta. Grab the 36 South to Leeper (restroom break at the Uni-Mart, I always seem to), 66 S into Clarion. Pickup 68 South in Clarion thru East Brady and you're in Butler. Scenic Route. Route 8 seems to take forever IMHO. I take a similar route when I pay you a visit Red and it's been the best route for me. I just take a shortcut thru Clarion into Leeper via Miola Rd.

I did 79 on the way down (like last year) and then took 8 back North. 8 North seemed a little faster by comparison.
