ESCANABA - The Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw will be arriving in Escanaba at the Reiss Coal dock today. Ice fishermen and snowmobilers are advised to use caution on the ice around Escanaba and stay away from the ice track leading into the bay and area off the coal dock.

appreciate it fatdog..where is the dock bear esky that it will be at? thanks again..is it near the power plant

the dock is south of the power plant, not to far though.

Hey guys the Cutter came in following the shipping channel around the lighthouse and over to the Esky municiple Dock, they stayed the night and then pushed over and made a loop through the coal dock area and then headed back out to the shipping channel followed and lead by Kobasic's tugs. Looks like the tugs will be keeeping it open from now on so stay north of the channels. Looks like the shacks on the hump south of the ore docks were well north of the channel and the couple shacks near the lighthouse area were well south of thier path. Also the shacks off the sheriffs dept in esky are all fine.
