Trout question....

Anyone have an answer to this......if you are fishing in a non-designated trout lake and happen to catch a trout....Do you need to possess an all species tag(trout/salmon) license to keep the trout if it meets the length requirement??????? Example....I recently caught a 24"brown trout in Indian Lake....I have an all species license...but I was told you do not need one in an all species lake.

I was always under the impression you needed an all species tag to keep a legal sized trout---- period...no matter where you caught it.
