When walleye season re-opens on May 15th 2010 the slot limit is no longer in effect. I just went through the Exceptions to General Regulations by County and any mention of 23'' is gone. Guess I just had to see it print (or not see it in print to believe it).

Yup, despite strong opposition from many (if not all) the charter captains, The Bay de Noc Great Lakes Sportfishermen, our former fisheries biologist Jerry Peterson (you know, the guy with a rearing pond named after him), and many that post on this board, the slot limit is now gone. It takes far longer to bring a fishery back, than it does to decimate it. Thanks Mike Herman. NOT!!! .
