The Bait Shop Guy

Art Richardson stopped by the shop the other day with a nice 28 1/2 inch, 8 1/2 pound walleye he caught south of Gladstone. This fish fell for a #5 Glow Green Tiger Jigging Rap.
Nick Kotowski and his friend were fishing with me south of Gladstone a couple nights ago. He got a "flag" shortly after we started. Turned out to be a pike in the 28-29 inch range. It was the first time his buddy had ever tried to gaff a fish. That was pretty evident when he - how do I put this delicately - almost "sterilized" young Mr. Kotowski with the gaff! After the second try, the fish ended up with the hole in it, and Nick is still "intact."
