Took a drive around the lake and cast a few spots this morning. Very little ice left. From the dam, I could not see any ice and water clarity was decent. Galena ramp was ice free with a little ice in the cove. Word of advice... docks are very slick at galena, I about took a swim! Marina had the most ice at the ramp and in the main lake area out in front of it. Cheshire ramp was open with just a few chunks at the bottom of the ramp that you could easily get by. Pretty much open water north of Cheshire and slightly more stained. 36 was muddy under and around the bridge opening. If you get out, be careful and don't forget you need a 2010 fishing license if you don't have it yet. Good Luck!
