I was out on the river above "Pete" late afternoon today(4:30-6:30). Bite was a little slow with only 6 "shorties" one that just touched the mark on the bump board and one nice big white bass. Water temp was 43 when I put the boat on trailer at Chester Creek. The main lake is still ice covered from Monroe Park to the south end, but with the warm weather and the predicted high winds for the coming week it should be gone. Some of the small males are starting to milk a little, but all males have that premature problem during the early years. The good bite is really close!
Keep a tight line!!!
