Ty, so when are you going to launch your boat and tour the Chip for the year's maiden voyage ? Ya' gonna' pitch a lure for a pike or walleye ?
Say, that reminds me...you every try dead bait in a bay for Northerns ?

I might go out today to get the boat ready for fishing in a few weeks. This might be the warmest it gets for the next few months so I might as well take advantage of it.
As for the pike and walleye, we can't fish them on the Chip until the first weekend in May. I have done the dead bait thing when times are tough. It works pretty good if you have smelt. I don't think bait stores sell smelt anymore because of the VHS thing though. Probably better anyway. Man those things reek!

Two out of three Leo. The last picture is from the road just south of Sisko's Resort looking south toward Eagle Island. I just thought it was a cool picture with the eagle sitting on the ice.
