Just ran across this on the TFF section of the DNR site and thought some of you might be interested. There are 6 new group campsites opening May 15 on the east shore of Big Island - 2 clusters of 3 sites, with each cluster sharing a toilet building. They're described as wheelchair-accessible, but I'm not sure if that means they have docks. Each site is for 7-15 people, and they cost $40 a night ($10 for in-state non-profit youth groups), 10 days maximum, and must be reserved ahead of time. Could be great for those of you who come with larger groups and worry about not being able to find a site or having to divide your group. Info here: http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/facilities/turtleflambeau/camping.html#group

They must have just posted the info recently, because the sites aren't available on the reservation system yet and the TFF campsite map hasn't been updated to show exactly where they are. For all I know, they may not be completed yet. But from the small map on the link above, it looks like they'll be just north of B-2.
