Recent rains have caused Lake Mendota to come up about 6". Panfish action continues to be spotty, with some action in Mendota County Park, and Pheasant Branch Creek. Catfishermen have been having good success in Northshore Bay, and up in the Yahara River all the way to Cherokee Marsh. Lake Monona panfishermen continue to have some success on Bluegills and Crappies in Monona Bay and the Triangles. We've also had recent reports of Bluegills and Crappies in Squaw Bay in 5-7' of water. Winnequah Park continues to produce some decent action on Bluegills. Lake Waubesa has been quiet, but start looking for Bluegills and Crappies to get active out from Lake Farm Park, Hog Island, and on the south end of the lake. We have heard of some reports of nice Bluegills in the river above Lake Kegonsa. No reports out on Lake Kegonsa. Crystal Lake Bluegill and Crappie action has started to pick up. Reports from Lake WI continue to be slow. We talked to some guys that were trolling for Walleyes on Lake Koshkonong with little success.
