I completely destroyed my prop today. If anyone has an evinrude/johnson prop thats 9-1/4 X 8 that they would want to sell I would greatly appreciate it.

OUCH !! I was just curious, were you using a soft shear pin or a prop guard? You could always post a wanted ad on CL. I have had some luck finding things there.

The shear pin is your weakest link in your drive unit. I have made pins out of different materials including 2024 aluminum. Some times the soft pins will shear with little effort but they are pennys compaired to a prop. I used to carry several in the boat when we fished up in LaForce Quebec. Finding a prop there was very difficult. Something to consider after installing a new prop. Gary
