Just a quick update amid a flurry of charters set to go out in the coming days and weeks.
Last Friday took a little working at them but we hauled in a 15-fish limit of Coho Salmon in the morning. North winds then blew for days on end, preventing any further fishing until this morning.
The wait was worth it though and it was what we call "Lock and Load" today; a 20-fish limit in 2 1/2 hours! All fantastic Coho Salmon from the crisp waters of Lake Michigan that will taste great blackened, grilled, fried, or of course .... Salmon Cakes!
Both mornings featured steady to Coho-frantic action once the spread was set up and we figured out exactly what baits they wanted.
We have limited out all but one time on the water so far this season, setting up what should be a great month of May for fish that are on a feed like there is no tomorrow!
I will recap again sometime next week after more trips are out but feel free to email back or call if you want to set up a date.
Thanks,
Capt Rick
