Fished Saturday with my son Cody and we ended up with 3 up to 42-1/2" and seeing 6 or 7 follows. I got 2 early in the day twitching a 7 inch perch Slammer while Cody got his 42-1/2"er on a 6 inch golden shiner. All the fish seen where on twitching Slammers over the shallow green weeds.
On Sunday I fished with a couple of friends and we only saw 7 with 2 up on Slammers and the other 5 on a small single blade Rabid Squirrel spinner. The fish behind the Slammers where slow and lazy behind the bait while the one's chasing the Rabid Squirrel's where pretty hot and one was in the low 40' class.
The weeds look real nice for this early in the year and the waters in the upper 50's
