Kakagi (Crow) Lake water temperatures ended the week in the mid to upper 40's.
The four week run on great weather came to an end with frequent rains the past 4 days and a few more cloudy and rainy days predicted.
Lake Trout fishing was typical... the fish were moving in and out of the shallows and the bounced between hot and slow bites. I think each of the groups encountered a slow bite period and most ran across a hot bit. It was interesting to watch how the slow period for some groups was the hot period for other groups, I do appreciate how the Lake Trout moved the bite around and tried to give everyone a turn at the hot bite. Some Lake Trout were caught bank fishing. Shallow Trolling over 90' deep water and shallow trolling in shallow 10' waters both worked very well at times. Jigging 30' to 85' was also successful. Best Lake Trout of the week were three 10 pound Lake Trout by one of our Spooner WI; Father and Son teams.
A few Bass were caught by Lake Trout fishing groups and an 11 pound Northern Pike.
Jean loaded a few of the Lake Trout pictures on our Facebook page.
