Was out yesterday and the Walleye fishing coninues to be very good. In a couple of hours we had a limit of Walleyes and I lost a real whopper. We cooked up a couple last night on the grill. We rolled thim in Potato Buds and put them on the grill for 15-20min. some Laurys and salt and pepper and were they excellent. Cooked some taters in foil on the grill at the same time and a great salad. Makes me hungry again just thinking about it.
The big Smallies are really on the bite also. Some over 6lbs. are caught on YUM tubes and Gonzo grubs. Jig very slowly to get good action. When they clober the bait what a great feelin after a long winter.
King Salmon/Rainbow fishing isn't far away. With the water warming at a good rate I expect to see some good numbers of Kings and Rainbows caught in late May and by June it is going to be crazy out there again.
good luck be safe
