HIGH-WATER ALERT! As of 8am, the entire river, south of McHenry Lock & Dam, has been declared no-wake. We fully anticipate the lakes to go no-wake later today. The levels can be tracked via this website by clicking on "water levels" and then summary table to see the levels at individual gauges. http://www.foxwaterway.state.il.us/

If the lakes are declared no wake during the tourney, we may extend the fishing hours an extra 1/2 hour, to make up for the travel time lost. We may also change the takeoff to shotgun style. We'll have to wait and see and make all final decisions on Saturday AM.

*NO WAKE DECLARED*

LAKES NO WAKE AS OF 3PM, FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2010
The Fox Waterway Agency has verified that conditions for navigation warrant restrictions on the Lakes and
thus, the FWA has declared a NO WAKE on the lakes (Zone C) as of 3pm today. This declaration makes the
entire Chain O’Lakes Fox River a no wake zone. The best source of information is via our website
www.foxwaterway.org . By clicking on “water levels”, current levels and anticipated forecasts are available.
No wake is defined as “a movement of water created by a boat underway great enough to disturb a boat at
rest, but under no circumstances shall a boat underway exceed five miles per hour while in a posted NO WAKE
boating area”. Violations of no-wake or other boating restrictions during a flood or overflow event are now
subject to a fine of not less than $300 or more than $500, injunctive relief to restrain violation, recovery of all
damages caused by said actions or inactions and incarceration as provided by statute. (FWA Code of
Ordinances, 5.06). Complaints can be called to the local Sheriff Marine Units: McHenry 815-385-3239 and
