last fall the mnr did a population test netting study on eagle and it's confirmed as we have been saying for the last 3-4 years,eagles walleye pop is exploding and as healthy as it has been in probably 30+ yrs. the results from what i've been told have shown eagle's walleye pop is in the top 25% of ontario's fisheries with not only amazing numbers of new and mid size recruitment fish coming up but outstanding avg size 20-30"+.
like i've said the god old days of walleye fishing on eagle are here and coming!!
oh ya,just got back up from the dock,there was a beautiful 52-54" muskie sunbathing in the harbour,got me all shaky and anticipating musky opener!!
